Shopping.
Honestly, I did not expect that that was what I was going to do today. I was planning on painting. Maybe I'll do that Friday...
Anyways, my mom came home today. She knew that I was having a rough time and offered to come home early from her trip with my grandfather. I said she should stay. Hindsight, I wished I had asked her to come home. As you can see from my 1 AM post, I was a mess. Lol, I still am, just in case you were wondering.
She came home and she, Jerry, and I had a really good conversation over lunch. He went home and Mom and I took naps. Cold weather is perfect napping weather. When we got up, (thanks to some guy ringing to doorbell and causing me to get out of my nice warm bed!), we went shopping to get the last few items needed for decorating the house. We left at 4 and were gone for 5 (count it, 5!) hours.
Our list:
-Christmas mailbox cover- no one had them
-White lights- check
-Tinsel- check
-New bows for outdoor wreaths- check
And that was it. 5 hours.
We went to Sears, Michael's. Party City, Target, Pier 1 Imports, Marshall's, and Home Depot. And then we went to dinner. We did get a few more things that on the list. I found some really cute stuff to design the dining room table. Once I finish, I'll put up a picture. But mostly we just walked around the stores, losing time, talking about things. It was a nice thing. Although, I'm exhausted and my feet hurt. :) It was nice to not be alone today. Another reason I love my mom. She's pretty good to me.
