Always Yearning

I wrote this...poem? (for lack of a better word) a few months ago. I was supposed to be studying, but I could not focus for the life. I had spent the day with people complaining about so many things and it had made me so frustrated so I wrote this.

Looking, seeing, searching
Everywhere I look
I see searching
Searching for happiness
Never. Finding. It.
Looking for a new job
Buying a new car
Always Yearning

The yearning you feel
Cannot be solved
Because you don’t have the answer
YOU cannot make this
You try and try
But you never find
Always Yearning

Stop looking
Stop searching
You cannot find the answer here
It is not in you
It is not in someone else
It is not in something
It is up above
It is I AM
He is where your answer lies
Always yearning

Stop searching
Stop looking
He has rescued you
He has found you
He has saved you
Choose something, not nothing
Choose Him
Always Yearning,
Yearning for HIM
